Almost 100 investment projects in the Polish Investment Zone, totalling over PLN 3.5 billion (EUR 770,000) will receive support from a 2018 programme in the 1st quarter of this year, the Development, Labour and Technology Ministry informed on Friday.
The 96 projects will create close to 4,000 new jobs, the ministry wrote. It added that the number of projects qualified for Polish Investment Zone aid, which can come in the form of tax breaks, in the first three months of this year was one-third higher year on year.
Their combined value was 89 percent higher than that of the first quarter 2020.
Most of the new investments will be located in southern, central and western Poland, the ministry wrote.
Decreed on May 10 2018, the Polish Investment Zone conception made all of Poland a common investment area. Since its startup in September 2018, the programme has helped launch 904 projects jointly worth around PLN 39.9 billion (EUR 8.8 billion).
