PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe (PKP PLK) increased the share capital of four subsidiaries in the amount of PLN 850 million for the purchase of machinery and equipment for maintenance and investment works on the railway network, the railway network manager said. The funds come from the state budget.
“The capital injection in the amount of PLN 850 million will allow the subsidiaries of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A. to increase the existing potential in the field of railway maintenance and modernization. First of all, we expect dynamic development in the railway energy industry. This will allow for greater independence in the investment process and the gradual taking over of maintenance services, which are currently outsourced to external entities, ”said President Ireneusz Merchel, quoted in the release.
Support was granted to all four subsidiaries belonging to the capital group PKP PLK: Dolnośląskie Przedsiębiorstwo Napraw Infrastruktury Komunikacyjnej DOLKOM, Pomorskie Przedsiębiorstwo Mechaniczno-Torowe, Przedsiębiorstwo Napraw i Utrzymania Infrastruktury Kolejowej in Cracow and Zakład Robót Komunikacyjnych – DOM in Poznań. The main areas of activity of the companies are related to maintenance and investment works on the railway network managed by PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe S.A.
