PKN Orlen has contracts for the construction of the B2G complex at the Jedlicze plant for approximately PLN 1.12 billion

Orlen Południe has signed contracts for the construction of a complex of installations for the production of second generation bioethanol (B2G) in the EPC (Engineering, Procurement and Construction) formula at the Orlen Południe production plant in Jedlicz, PKN Orlen reported. The total value of capital expenditure on the construction of the B2G complex is estimated at approximately PLN 1.12 billion. Construction is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2024.
As part of the B2G complex, a main plant for the production of bioethanol will be built, as well as a combined heat and power plant and ancillary infrastructure, it said.

"General contractor of the main B2G installation, with an annual capacity of 25 thousand. tons, will be Zarmen Sp. z o.o. based in Warsaw. The investment outlays for the B2G installation will amount to approximately PLN 550 million. The contractor for the biomass heat and power plant will be Valmet Technologies Oy based in Espoo, Finland. The investment outlays for the CHP plant will amount to approx. PLN 170 million "
