PGNiG plans new gas storage facilities to meet increasing demand

Polskie Górnictwo Naftowe i Gazownictwo (PGNiG) is analyzing the need to build more gas storage facilities in terms of the expected increase in the consumption of this fuel in Poland, said President Paweł Majewski.
“The technical possibilities are of course, we have analyzed the so-called salt dome near Mogilno, where we already have cavern warehouses, ”Majewski said during a press conference.

He confirmed that the storage space should keep up with the expected increase in demand for natural gas.

“This is the subject of analyzes carried out by Gaz-System as the transmission system operator. These preliminary analyzes show that there is indeed a need to increase warehouse space. It is too early to talk about details, ”added the president.
