PERN plans to implement key investments worth over PLN 1 billion in 2022, and it will also work this year on the use of renewable energy sources and lowering its carbon footprint, the company said.
“The value of PERN’s investments in 2022 is a record value. The largest share is mega-investment, which accounts for two-thirds of total expenditure. It goes for the construction of another 15 fuel tanks (we are already implementing 7 and the tender procedure for 8) and the construction of the Boronów – Trzebinia product pipeline, which will significantly improve the availability of fuels in the Silesian Agglomeration.”
The company will also modernize its automation systems, railway infrastructure, gasoline vapor recovery installations and both rail and tanker truck fronts, added.
“Ultimately, we intend to produce 10% of electricity, which we use for pumping raw materials and fuels from photovoltaics, which will reduce our carbon footprint by 6%,” said President Igor Wasilewski.
