OX2 turns over 21 MW Żary wind farm to German fund

OX2 has commissioned MEAG Munich Ergo Asset Management GmbH (MEAG) to operate a 21 MW wind farm in Poland, the company said. The Żary wind farm is the first Polish project commissioned by OX2.

“The project was carried out during a pandemic which, in addition to slowing down administrative procedures, causes disruptions in the supply chain and the workforce. Our efforts to mitigate the impact of the pandemic on the construction site environment have been effective and kept people safe. Żary is our first project delivered in Poland and a milestone, ”said OX2 president Paul Stormoen.

The Żary wind farm consists of seven wind turbines built in the south-western part of Poland. OX2 developed the project and built a wind farm and obtained an occupancy permit for the investment. Total energy production from the facility is estimated at 66 GWh per year.

The main subcontractors of the project were: Nordex (supply and installation of turbines) and Onde (foundations, roads, connection to the grid).
