Talks with companies specializing in this type of investments include economic, financial, technical and boundary conditions for the construction and operation of incineration plants based on a long-term contract with the city. The investment is to be implemented in a public-private partnership, the assumption is that a private entity will finance the investment, but the option of obtaining external financing is also considered.
The incinerator is to be built at GOŚ, the capacity is 150,000 tonnes of waste per year and the estimated cost of the investment – 1 billion pln. The preliminary work schedule provides for obtaining the environmental and location decision by the end of June 2022, the award of the tender by June 30, 2023, and the completion of construction works and accompanying installations by the end of 2026.
These firms have expressed interest: Urbaser Sau from Spain, China Everbright Environment from Hong Kong, Dalkia Wastenergy and Vinci Environment from France, WastePolska (a consortium of Remondis, Rafako, Suez, and EEW Energy) Trakcja with Inter-Bis.
