mPay will launch a B2B offer and conduct talks with potential customers

mPay will launch a B2B offer, signed a letter of intent regarding the delivery to mPay of technologies to support services that enable access to account information (AIS - Account Information Service) and payment initiation (PIS - Payment Initiation Service), the company announced.

“The new direction is part of the global trend of offering specific ready-made services and solutions in the cloud/subscription model. For example, as part of 'banking as a service', companies enable easy building of banks or fintechs by offering banking services to companies based on their own licenses. Our formula will work in a similar way, although in this case we are talking about providing access to technology in the area of everyday payments, including, of course, mobile payments,” said Karol Zielinski, Member of the Management Board of mPay, quoted in the release.

mPay will offer e.g. payment balancing services. The technology will make it possible to direct individual transactions to the best payment methods and providers for a given operation. Thanks to this, the transaction will go to the cheapest service provider, which will allow you to optimize transaction costs and increase the number of successful transactions. The system can be configured so that, for example, individual cards are handled by payment provider X and others by provider Y. This will make it much easier for e-commerce companies to connect further payment providers, e.g. from abroad, as explained in the material.

"Advanced talks and terms of cooperation with companies, including other financial institutions, interested in using mPay services in this formula are currently underway," the release reads.

mPay debuted on the market in 2003 and is the longest operating mobile payment system in Poland. The mPay application enables e.g. buying public transport tickets, paying for parking or topping up prepaid telephone accounts using a smartphone or tablet. Since 2007, mPay has been a licensed settlement agent, authorized to process transactions carried out using mobile devices. The strategic investor of mPay since 2013 is Grupa Lew. mPay has been listed on the NewConnect market since 2011.
