Movens VC and a group of business angels invest PLN 2 million in PixBlocks

Movens VC and a group of business angels will invest PLN 2 million in the PixBlocks startup, the company said. Thanks to these funds, it will be able to commercialize its product - Programming Academy.

“On the basis of the product, it intends to build a marketplace of tools needed to improve the digital competences of children with the participation of selected teachers. The company also focuses on a strong internationalization of the business model, ”reads the release.

“At Movens VC, we focus on scalable and innovative solutions based on SaaS and marketplace models that have a chance to become leaders in their industry (e.g. edutech). An investment in PixBlocks fulfills these conditions. PixBlocks is not only a leading provider of programming learning solutions, but also focuses on the development of service distribution in the marketplace platform model, connecting programming mentors with children and thus supporting parents in early designing their children's career paths "- said investment director at Movens VC Przemysław Jurgiel-Żyła, quoted in the release.

PixBlocks is a company founded in October 2019 by Dr. Krzysztof Krzywdziński. Its aim is to educate children and youth in the field of programming and implement tools to learn this skill. PixBlocks services are offered in the marketplace model - a platform connecting programming educators with course participants.

Movens VC is a Warsaw fund investing in technological startups with global potential. The fund's capitalization is PLN 62 million, with involvement of up to PLN 4 million in one company. Earlier, the fund invested, inter alia, at Vue Storefront, Packhelp, StethoMe, Woltair, Doctor.one, Nethansa, SKY ENGINE AI or Talkie.ai.
