Mercator Medical recorded 930.19 million PLN of consolidated net profit attributable to the shareholders of the parent company in 2020 compared to a loss of 2.33 million PLN a year earlier, the company said in the report.
The Mercator Medical Group states that it is a leader in Poland and one of the key players in Central and Eastern Europe on the market of disposable medical gloves. It owns a production plant in Thailand. The group operates globally in over 50 countries. In 2013, the company debuted on the GPW. Its consolidated sales revenues reached 1.83 billion PLN in 2020.
‘The development of the scale of our business and the demanding conditions set by suppliers in the face of the supply gap in the glove market naturally mean a significant increase in the demand for working capital. Nevertheless, we are able to generate a lot of cash, which remains an important issue for us also for the following periods’ – said Witold Kruszewski, member of the management board for financial matters, quoted in the release.
