Mercator Medical launched glove production line in Thailand, invests 50 million euro

Mercator Medical has launched a production line worth PLN 200 million in Thailand, the company said. The next production lines in the new plant will be successively launched in the coming months, and their total target capacity will reach approx. 1 billion gloves per year.


“We have just launched the first production line with a nominal capacity of 16,000 tonnes gloves per hour. Most importantly, we have strengthened our position among the most technologically advanced producers who are able to achieve the highest quality and efficiency parameters. The launched production line is probably the first in the world in our industry that provides such a high degree of automatic control and control of the production process, ”said the president of Mercator Medical (Thailand) Ltd. and a member of the Management Board of Mercator Medical Dariusz Krezymon.

The next production lines in the new plant will be successively launched in the coming months, and their total target capacity will reach approx. 1 billion gloves per year.

The Mercator Medical Group states that it is a leader in Poland and one of the key players in Central and Eastern Europe on the market of disposable medical gloves. It owns a production plant in Thailand. The group operates globally in over 50 countries. In 2013, the company debuted on the WSE. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 1.83 billion in 2020.
