LW Bogdanka plans to extract 9.5 million tonnes of coal in 2022, down 5% from 2021

Lubelski Węgiel Bogdanka plans to extract coal in 2022 at 9.5 million tonnes, said President Artur Wasil.

"In 2022, we plan to mine 9.5 million tons of coal," Wasil said during the conference call.

In the strategy for 2021-2025, the company assumed an average production of approx. 9.7 million tonnes per year.

In 2021, coal production at LW Bogdanka was 9.9 million tonnes.

At the end of 2020, LW Bogdanka had a 19.7% share in the steam coal market in Poland and 25.3% in the coal market sold to the commercial power industry. Since October 2015, it belongs to the Enea capital group. The company has been listed on the WSE since 2009. Consolidated revenues amounted to PLN 2.37 billion in 2021.
