LiveChat granted next US patent

The United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) granted LiveChat Software patent protection for a technology that allows an agent to “suspect” a chat message from a client as it is being written.

“The process of patent application and approval is long (it can take up to several years) and requires proving the value and innovation of the presented invention. Another positive decision of the USPTO confirms the position of LiveChat Software as one of the technological leaders in its industry ”- commented Małgorzata Sikora from the legal department of LiveChat, specializing in patent law.

The patent was granted in the United States. The company is entitled to legal protection for a period of 20 years.

The company from Wrocław is one of the world’s largest providers of “live chat for business” software. The company made its debut on the Warsaw Stock Exchange in 2014.
