Liberty Częstochowa plans to increase the supply of steel sheets to 85,000 tons per month by the end of 2022. The new target is part of the strategy “55-65-85” announced by Toker Ozcan, the new CEO of Greensteel EMEA in the Liberty Steel Group, who visited the steelworks in Częstochowa for the first time.
The increase in deliveries is to be achieved primarily thanks to the planned overhauls of the plate mill, which will include the modernization of both cutting lines next year, and also thanks to the improvement of logistics and sheet loading. Recruiting and training new production workers will also be part of the new strategy to secure the plant’s long-term future.
Toker Ozcan, which is responsible for the activities of the Liberty Steel Group in the field of Greensteel electric stoves in Liberty Częstochowa, Great Britain and India, wants the company from Częstochowa to achieve carbon neutrality by 2030 thanks to production using modern technology.
