LG Energy Solution Wrocław will double production for Ford by 2023

In view of the growing demand for Ford's line of electric vehicles: Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit, LG Energy Solution (LGES) is increasing battery production capacity at its Polish plant LG Energy Solution Wrocław, the company said.
Thanks to the use of existing production lines, as well as progress in the expansion of the plant, LGES is on track to double its production line by next year. It also plans to continue to gradually increase production capacity even after this period, underlined in the press release.

LGES began supplying its batteries for the Ford Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit in the second half of 2020.

The collaboration between LGES and Ford began in 2011 with Korean-made batteries for the electric Ford Focus, the recall also recalled.

LG Energy Solution, separated from the LG Chem structures, provides lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles, IT products and power tools, and for energy storage systems. In 2016, LG Energy Solution Wrocław was established in Biskupice Podgórne, which is the first and largest center for the production of batteries for electric cars in Europe. The current production capacity is 70 GWh, and in 2025 LG Energy Solution Wrocław will reach 115 GWh.
