Kruk Investimenti – an Italian subsidiary of Kruka – concluded agreements with UniCredit for the purchase of debt portfolios from unsecured consumer loans with a total nominal value of up to EUR 304 million.
The agreements provide that receivables with a nominal value of up to EUR 250 million (PLN 1.1 billion according to the average exchange rate of the National Bank of Poland of June 17, 2021) will be purchased in four tranches between June 2021 and March 2022, it said.
“As announced, we resumed investing in Italy. We are pleased with this new investment, especially since these are unsecured retail bank receivables – and therefore our specialization. We have come a long way and today we are operationally well prepared to handle new cases, ”commented President Piotr Krupa.
“It is an interesting project, combining both the traditional purchase of a portfolio and the forward flow of receivables within 10 months,” added the president.
Kruk will publish full information on investments in Q2 2021 on July 9.
Kruk is the largest debt management company in Poland. The company has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 2011.
