KGHM Polska Miedź has registered its copper cathodes on the new Shanghai International Energy Exchange (INE), the company said.
“The Chinese market is extremely important for KGHM. Thanks to the registration, we will guarantee recipients the possibility of cooperation with the new exchange using our product. KGHM’s copper cathodes are a proven brand that is reached by the whole world, ”said Paweł Gruza, vice-president of KGHM Polska Miedź for foreign assets, quoted in the press release.
The copper cathode is a form of copper with a purity of over 99.9%. At KGHM Polska Miedź, they are produced in Huty Miedzi Głogów and Huta Miedzi Legnica.
KGHM Polska Miedź has a wide portfolio of exploration, development and production projects in Poland, Germany, Canada, Chile and the USA. The company has been listed on the WSE since 1997. In 2020, it had PLN 23.63 billion of consolidated revenue.
