POLAND Vestas Investment Management has bought a logistics centre in Kołbaskowo, which is leased by Amazon, from Invesco.
This is the first purchase transaction concluded by the Vestas European Logistics fund, which intends to invest a further EUR 250 mln in European logistics assets by the end of this year. The Amazon order processing centre comprises 161,500 sqm of total useable space. It is 17m in height and has three floors, where more than 3,000 robots can operate. BNP Paribas REIM acted as the agent in this transaction.
“This transaction is the latest success of our new structures that support clients in implementing their investment strategies in Europe. Last year we successfully brokered the purchase of So Ouest Plaza in Paris and now we are working on other transactions on behalf of our international clients. Our goal for the next few years is the development of this field of our activities, which will allow us to improve our already strong position in the area of investment in individual assets,” claims Xavier Mouette, the director of the key client group at BNP Paribas REIM.
The seller was supported by Greenberg Traurig Warsaw. The building was developed by Panattoni Europe, which sold it to Invesco Real Estate in 2016.
