Innovative apps from Poland will help local governments

An elderly person needs emergency assistance? An aggressive intruder has appeared at the commune office - these are examples of problems that can be dealt with using native technologies.

Applications from the Celius and SeniorApp startups will support the functioning of local governments in an innovative way. The dissolution of the first company in the first quarter of this year. will debut on the market - Lublin's Celius is already conducting tests.

Selected companies and local governments are starting to test our application. It will be offered in the SaaS model, i.e. available in the cloud as a service without the need for implementation - explains Jarosław Śmigiel, co-owner of Celius.

Another type of assistance with the use of the application is implemented by the startup SeniorApp. Its mobile application and web platform were created for people who need support in everyday care, in particular seniors and their families. The innovative design has already attracted the investor's attention. The start-up was financed by the Pracuj Ventures fund.

- The idea was born from our personal experiences related to caring for loved ones. We noticed that many people have similar needs and cannot find a tool that meets them, so we decided to create them ourselves - recalls Igor Marczak.

SeniorApp operates on an extremely promising market. Due to the current demographic trends and the progressive aging of the society, the market of services for seniors will consistently increase in value. According to the data of the Central Statistical Office, at the end of 2020, the number of people aged 60 and more exceeded 9.8 and accounted for 25.6%. population. The forecast of the Central Statistical Office indicates that the number of people aged 60 and more in Poland in 2030 will increase to the level of 10.7 million.
