Italian Generali steps into warehouses with 7R deal

Generali Real Estate entered the Polish warehouse market by acquiring 7R Park Gdańsk II in Kowale. The complex completed this year consists of three fully leased buildings with a total of 52,000 sq m. sqm warehouse space.

The Italian asset and fund management firm made the purchase on behalf of its pan-European fund, Generali Real Estate Logistics Fund (GRELF), the value of the transaction has not been disclosed.

“Our logistics portfolio consists mainly of parks in strategically located hubs, and the project in Gdańsk fits perfectly into this segment. Our ambition is to further expand our portfolio across Europe with a wide range of assets serving the supply chain, from XXL facilities to cross dock and city logistics” – says Pierre-David Baylac, Head of Logistics at Generali Real Estate.
