Famur companies have financing for the construction of 140 PV projects with a capacity of approximately 134 MW

The companies belonging to Projekt Solartechnik Fund Fundusz Inwestycyjny Zamknięty from the Famur Group have concluded a project finance loan agreement with ING Bank Śląski, Bank Pekao and BNP Paribas Bank Polska, the purpose of which is in particular to finance and refinance the construction costs of 140 solar farms with a total capacity of approximately 134 MW (with the possibility of a later conversion of this loan into an investment loan) and coverage of the debt service provision, Famur reported. The total amount of limits granted to borrowers under the agreement is PLN 428 million.

“Since last year, we have been implementing a development strategy towards a holding investing in green transformation. The first stage was the involvement in the photovoltaic sector based on the combined resources and competences of the Solartechnik Project (PST), TDJ and the Famur Group, and the contracting of PV projects with a total capacity of 175 MW with a winning RES auction in 2021, which confirmed our consistency in building large-scale PV farms . Currently, our portfolio includes projects with a total capacity of approx. 1.5 GW, including 134 MW under construction and another 500 MW in preparation for implementation. Signing the contract with banks will allow us to more effectively manage the financing structure of the PV area, and at the same time Famur will be able to partially release its funds involved in the construction of this segment and allocate them for further development. We constantly support the expansion of green business, wanting to provide it with funds for stable development, so as to use the potential of the market as much as possible "- commented Mirosław Bendzera, president of Famur, quoted in the release.

Famur is a manufacturer of machines used in mining, and since May 2021 it has been implementing a strategy of transformation towards a holding investing in a green transformation and other prospective industrial sectors. The company has been listed on the WSE since 2006. Its consolidated sales revenues reached PLN 1.14 billion in 2020.
