Dominika Kulczyk sues Tauron for 34 million pln

Polenergia’s subsidiaries have changed the action to the court and are demanding an additional PLN 34 million from the subsidiary Tauron, the company said. The case concerns breaking long-term energy sale contracts.

Amon, a subsidiary of Polenergia, brought to the District Court in Gdańsk a change of action against Tauron’s subsidiary – Polska Energia First Kompania Handlowa – in connection with the termination of long-term contracts for the sale of energy and property rights concluded by PKH with Amon. Pursuant to the above amendment to the claim, Amon, in addition to the amounts sought so far, is demanding the payment of PLN 20.1 million.

Polenergia also informed that the subsidiary Talia brought the fourth amendment of the claim against PKH to the District Court in Gdańsk in connection with the termination of long-term contracts for the sale of energy and property rights concluded by PKH with Talia. Pursuant to the above amendment to the claim, Talia, apart from the amounts sought so far, is demanding the payment of PLN 14.25 million.

Polenergia is a Polish company listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, acting as a holding company for its operating subsidiaries operating in the field of energy generation from conventional and renewable sources as well as electricity distribution and trading. The Polenergia Group is jointly controlled by Dominika Kulczyk and Brookfield Asset Management Inc. based in Canada.
