Budimex and Hyundai Engineering Polska in strategic cooperation agreement

Budimex and its subsidiary Mostostal Kraków have signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Hyundai Engineering Branch in Poland on the Polish refining, petrochemical, energy and infrastructure markets, Budimex reported.

“We are pleased with the strategic cooperation agreement signed today, the more so as the Mostostal Kraków company belonging to the Budimex Group is already implementing projects with Hyundai with a total value of approx. PLN 48 million”, said President Artur Popko.

As part of the concluded agreement, individual parties will each time decide on joint participation in a specific project.

“Currently, Hyundai Engineering has two large projects in the chemical industry in its portfolio on the Polish market and intends to expand its operations on the Polish market in the long term. Especially in the current pandemic situation, cooperation with Polish companies in the implementation of projects in Poland is a priority for Hyundai Engineering, as it reduces the risk of a breakdown in the supply chain. (…) ”- added Hyundai Engineering Vice President Won Ock Kim.

Budimex has been listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange since 1995. Its strategic investor is the Spanish company Ferrovial. In 2020, it had PLN 8.38 billion of consolidated revenues.
