BorgWarner is expanding the plant in Błonie in order to produce components for e-cars

BorgWarner Mobility Poland received public support from the TAX Special Economic Zone for the expansion of its plant in Błonie, the company said. The existing plant will be expanded by 15,000 m2 to enable the production of components including high-efficiency inverters, DC-DC converters and battery management systems. The expansion is to be completed by the end of 2023.

“Due to the growing popularity of the vehicle electrification process, the global demand for power electronics systems is increasing. Therefore, we are pleased to share this message regarding our location in Błonie. Over the next five years, we expect to increase our electrification production capacity and significantly expand our workforce. Starting from 2023, the components for electric vehicles manufactured in Błonie will be installed in many premium cars of the largest automotive manufacturers, ”said Paweł Tetela, the manager of the BorgWarner Mobility Poland plant, quoted in the release.

The amount of PLN 380 million will be allocated to investments in the expanded plant in 2022-2024. With the increase in production capacity, BorgWarner offers attractive employment opportunities for professionals such as process engineers, product engineers, test engineers, quality engineers and implementation experts who wish to collaborate in an innovative environment by developing advanced technologies such as 800 volt carbide inverters silicon (SiC).
