Biedronka will build distribution center near Olsztyn, employ 500 people

Biedronka will build a distribution center with an area of ​​38,000 sq m in Stawiguda in the Olsztyn poviat, employing approx. 500 people, the network announced. At the end of 2022, the warehouse will service over 200 outlets, mainly in the Warmińsko-Mazurskie and Podlaskie voivodships.

“Smooth and fast operation of distribution centers is an important element in the functioning of the Biedronka network, which is operating more and more effectively every year. The new warehouse in Stawiguda will contribute not only to the development of the network, but above all, it will allow us to be a good neighbor for the local community, which will be able to count on stable working conditions in the largest retail chain in Poland, “said Wojciech Józefowski, the logistics director at the Biedronka chain.

The distribution center in Stawiguda will be equipped with solutions that reduce the impact on the environment, It will be the 17th warehouse in Poland belonging to the Biedronka chain.

At the end of 2021, the Biedronka network consisted of 3,250 outlets.
