Bank Pekao grants PLN 120 million loan to Polfa Tarchomin

Bank Pekao has signed an agreement with Polfa Tarchomin for an 8-year loan in the amount of PLN 120 million, the bank said. The funds from the loan will be used to co-finance the construction of the Center for the Development and Production of Oncological Drugs.

As part of the investment, a new building with a usable area of ​​approx. 12,000 square meters will be built. Up to 150 people will work in the building (in the production, laboratory and office areas). TZF Polfa (Polfa Tarchomin) has already contracted expenses for the amount of almost PLN 200 million. Works for over PLN 80 million have already been completed. In parallel, the TZF research and development team is working on the development of 8 products to be produced at this location, underlined.

I am particularly satisfied with the fact that we support the domestic, modern pharmaceutical industry and I hope that the Polfa Tarchomin project will prove that the best drugs and therapies can also be created in Poland, significantly improving the availability of treatment for the most needy “- said President of Bank Pekao Leszek Skiba.

As Magdalena Zmitrowicz, vice president of Pekao, supervising the Corporate Banking Division, added, Bank Pekao wants to be the bank of first choice for enterprises that decide to invest on a large scale, and the pandemic that has been going on for two years has shown how important investments in the pharmaceutical industry and healthcare are.
