Arctic Paper aims to expand packaging factory in Kostrzyn

The Arctic Paper packaging factory in Kostrzyn, which is to be built together with the subsidiary Rottneros by the end of 2023, will be expanded about a year after its launch, doubling its production capacity, announced President Michał Jarczyński.

“I already think that about a year after the packaging factory in Kostrzyn reaches its full production capacity, which is to take place at the end of 2023, i.e. at the turn of 2024 and 2025, we will decide to expand it, because there is very strong pressure from consumers to move away from plastic and non-ecological packaging. The next step will be to double the production capacity of the plant, ”said Jarczyński during the conference call.

The first stage of the investment provides for the launch of 4-6 lines for the production of cellulose packaging trays, at a cost of EUR 12-15 million (approximately PLN 55-70 million). Arctic Paper and Rottneros will each account for 50% of this project. The second step will most likely duplicate the first step in terms of production capacity and inputs.
