As the firm continues to expand its global client-base, Andersen Global has continued its expansion with three new collaborative agreements in the UK and Poland. RBCVAT joins the Andersen association in Britain, while A2Z Tax & Legal and SOL Financial Services become allies of the network in Poland.
Established in 2013 by US member firm Andersen Tax, Andersen Global is an international association of legally separate, independent member firms comprised of tax and legal professionals around the world. The network currently comprises of more than 2,500 professionals worldwide, as well as a presence in over 87 locations through member firms and collaborating firms. The latest steps in expanding this network have come in the markets of the UK and Poland, as Andersen seeks to meet growing demand in the regions.
In the UK, the professional services association’s existing practice will now collaborate with RBCVAT. The firm was founded in 2002 by ex-EY Partner Roger Bevan. Before his time with EY, Bevan was in the employ of Arthur Andersen, leaving the former Big Five member in 1997. He is a VAT and indirect specialist with almost 40 years of experience.
RBCVAT specialises in international VAT services, advising multinational companies on transactions, supply chain management and tax planning. The firm’s client base includes US corporations with European investments.
Commenting on the new partnership, Mark Vorsatz, Global Chairman and Andersen Tax CEO said, “The United Kingdom is the next major step in our firm’s growth and I wanted to ensure that we collaborated with a quality organisation with a culture consistent with our objectives. Roger is an Arthur Andersen alumnus and was the first dedicated Andersen recruit in VAT in Europe, so he provides us with a superior firm and outstanding individuals that underscore our reputation as best-in-class.”
With uncertainty surrounding Brexit still threatening to compromise the free flow of trade and human resources between the UK and EU, Andersen is also working to expand its platform across mainland Europe. In Poland, this will see Andersen work with two firms: A2Z Tax & Legal and SOL Financial Services. The dual collaboration will play a key role in the firm’s client service and business development efforts across the region.
Warsaw-based A2Z Tax & Legal focuses on key areas such as M&A deals, due diligence, customs, VAT consultancy and transfer pricing. The tax practice is headed by Marcin Matyka, who specialises in corporate tax litigation. Accounting and consulting firm SOL Financial Services, meanwhile, was founded by Oleg Szczerbak in 2006. The firm advises international corporations, non-profit organisations and high-net-worth individuals on accounting and payroll solutions, tax management, reporting and outsourcing.
Speaking on Andersen’s Polish expansion, Vorsatz added, “The addition demonstrates our dedication to providing seamless services in Europe and worldwide. Marcin, Oleg and their teams together constitute an excellent complement for Andersen Global and I am impressed by their commitment to providing outstanding client service.”
Poland is presently the largest consulting industry in Eastern Europe. According to the most recent analysis available, the Polish consulting market is worth over $420 million.
