Amazon has announced plans to create 650 new jobs in the customer service department in Poland by the end of 2021. The increase in employment is a consequence of the launch of the new Amazon customer service center in Gdańsk, which has been operating since the beginning of March, i.e. since the launch of the Polish-language online shopping service Amazon.pl.
The new positions will include virtual and stationary employees, serving Polish-speaking clients as well as German, French and Italian-speaking clients.
Since starting its operations in Poland in 2014, Amazon has created over 18,000 permanent jobs and the number continues to grow. They were created in nine modern logistics centers, the Amazon Web Services office in Warsaw and the Amazon Technology Development Center in Gdańsk, which provides innovative solutions to power Amazon products and services around the world, including voice solutions for Alexa. The tenth logistics center in Świebodzin will open in 2021, increasing Amazon’s employment in Poland by over 1,000 new jobs.
