PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe will modernize the Warszawa Wschodnia Osobowa – Warszawa Wawer railway line, with completion planned for 2023.
The works include the creation of a new stop Warszawa Grochów. The investment will cost PLN 422 million.
“The contract signed today with the use of EU funds OPI & E for works on the Warszawa Wschodnia-Wawer section will ensure efficient long-distance, regional and agglomeration travel on the line from Warsaw to Otwock and Lublin” – said the president of PKP Polskie Linie Kolejowe Ireneusz Merchel.
As mentioned by PKP PLK, as part of the investment, a new stop Warszawa Grochów, a communication junction in Gocławek, and additional collision-free pedestrian crossings will be built.
