Polish startup lands 5 mln pln for dog food.

PsiBufet, a startup producing individually tailored meals for dogs, obtained 5 million PLN in the new financing round. The investors include the Kogito Ventures fund, Aniołowie Biznesu, including: Chris Guzowski (associated with Polipo Ventures), Amadeusz Król (a recent investor in HiPets) and Butternut Box – a global leader in the fresh dog food market from Great Britain. The funds are to be used to scale the business and quickly build a leadership position in the natural food industry for dogs.

As indicated by Euromonitor data, despite the pandemic, the pet food market in Poland continues to grow, recording a continuous increase in the value of sales. However, the purchasing process is changing. In the structure of pet food distribution on the market, however, e-commerce is the biggest winner, with 40 percent increase in Poland. As the statistics show, the industry has a high potential, and investors are eager to support companies with such potential as PsiBufet.

How does PsiBufet work? Through the brand’s online platform, customers can tailor meals for their dogs to their individual needs. The user answers a few questions about the pet’s weight, activity and allergies, and a dedicated algorithm will create a tailored diet.
