American Snowflake buys Pragmatists for undisclosed amount

The team of the Polish software house Pragmatists has been taken over by the American company Snowflake, which offers cloud services. Engineers from Pragmatists will join the dynamically developing Polish branch of Snowflake.

30 experienced engineers from the Pragmatists team will strengthen the Snowflake global programming center that opened last year in Warsaw. Thus, almost 100 data cloud specialists work in the company’s Warsaw office.

The Pragmatists team is characterized by a project work culture very similar to ours. New specialists bring to Snowflake huge amounts of experience resulting from working on projects for many organizations in Europe and North America.

This strengthening of the team will enable us to develop the Polish branch even faster. The Warsaw team is already one of the teams developing the Snowflake Data Marketplace service, under which customers have access to almost a thousand data records and services from hundreds of suppliers – comments Grzegorz Kapusta, engineering director and head of the Warsaw Snowflake office.

The rapidly growing demand for Snowflake services, especially in the field of data exchange between businesses, contributes to the rapid increase in the importance of the Polish team in the global structure. The Warsaw team develops not only Snowflake Data Marketplace, but also services such as Snowflake Connectors (currently at the private preview stage).
