29 applications were submitted in the competition announced over two weeks ago for the president of Jastrzębska Spółka Węglowa and his four deputies: for economic affairs, for trade, for development and for technical and operational matters. There are at least five candidates for each of these positions.
“A total of 29 applications were submitted, one of which does not meet the required criterion. There are at least five candidates for each position” – the chairman of the JSW Supervisory Board, Prof. Halina Buk.
The deadline for submitting candidates in the qualification procedure announced on July 12, which is to appoint a new management board of the Jastrzębie-based company, has passed.
As PAP found out unofficially at JSW, the number of applications does not directly correspond to the number of candidates, because some of them applied for several positions – the president and one or two positions of vice-presidents. The candidates include people who have already been members of subsequent JSW boards in recent years – both former presidents and vice presidents.
Interviews with the participation of people who meet the formal requirements are scheduled for July 30 at the company’s headquarters in Jastrzębie-Zdrój.
